About the Beads and Charms
Our Persona beads and charms are made with a wide variety of materials but all of our beads contain quality 925 sterling silver.
Natural Silver
Our natural sterling silver Persona beads and charms have an oxidized finish, which gives them an antique look. This natural silver has no coating and a slight tarnish can occur over time. These charms can be cleaned with a soft cloth or gentle brush, such as a soft toothbrush. Do not use a silver polishing agent for these charms as it will affect the oxidized finish. Exposure to other chemicals, chlorine, soaps and detergents may affect the oxidized finish over time.
Crystal
Our crystal Persona beads are set with either genuine tinted Austrian crystals or cubic zirconia stones. These sterling silver beads are brightly polished to provide a brilliant lustre. The silver of these items can be gently polished with a soft cloth.
Hand Painted Enamel
The Persona enameled beads and charms are made with a plated sterling silver and are also brightly polished. Each of our enameled charms are hand-painted and distinct. Variations from charm to are part of the uniqueness and hand-crafted quality of this product.
Italian Glass
Our Italian glass charms are hand spun in the artisanal tradition of Murano glass makers. Varying glass tints and hues are combined with other delicate materials such as gold or silver leaf and some styles feature hand-painted detailing. This hand-crafted process ensures that each bead is exquisite and unique. All Italian glass beads include a sterling silver sleeve.
Gemstones
The Persona collection includes a number of natural gemstone beads including Agate, Onyx & Hematite. Each of these beads are set in a sterling silver sleeve to accentuate the natural beauty of the gems and can be polished with a soft cloth.
Shell Pearl
Our shell pearl charms have an iridescent quality to them and a fantastic lustre. Take great care in handling these charms as abrasive materials may affect this lustre or remove the shell pearl finish. Exposure to salt water, chemicals, soaps, detergents and cosmetics can harm these charms. Gently wipe with a soft cloth to clean.
18k Gold Overlay
Gold overlay beads and charms are made of sterling silver and plated with 18 karat gold, then brightly polished to provide a brilliant finish. The gold is plated in a thick two micron coating, which is durable and offers a rich yellow gold color. Handle these charms with care and gently wipe with a soft cloth to clean.
Marcasite
The marcasite beads and charms are part of the Persona Black Label collection. These exquisite pieces feature genuine marcasite gemstones set in intricate sterling silver designs. The marcasite pieces from the Black Label collection can be mixed and matched with regular Persona beads and charms and fit on all Persona jewelry.
Locks
Persona locks are available in 4 different styles and fit on both sterling silver & leather wrap bracelets. Use locks to keep beads in place on a bracelet. To keep several beads in place in the middle of a bracelet, 2 locks are required on each side of the bead arrangement.
Stoppers
The stopper bead is used at the end of a bracelet to prevent beads from falling off. Stopper beads will NOT fit on leather bracelets or silver bracelets with the safety chain lobster clasp and are not designed to hold beads in specific positions. Stopper beads can move around but will never slip off the end.
